Lanark Events
The Royal Burgh of Lanark has a plethora of 'traditions', which are upheld annually by a variety of the town's organisations. Some
attract a few hundred participants, some attract thousands. Some have their origins lost in the mists of time, others are a mere hundred
years old. There is also a tradition in the town of creating traditions! It's said in Lanark that when something happens, it happens! When it
happens a second time that's an amazing co-incidence and when it happens for the third time it has "aye bin" a time-honoured Lanark tradition
and next years event will be attended by the Lord Cornet! The list below is not definitive but it will provide our web visitors with details of
some of the more unusual or our ways!
